Similarities: Karlie Kloss is a Modern Day Lauren Bacall

Am I the only one who sees a striking resemblance between 2009 It Model Karlie Kloss and the 1930s Film Noir/Old Hollywood actress Lauren Bacall? They both give off the same attitude in photos.  Kloss’s Spring 2010 ads for Dior seem to channel the actress herself in a Film Noir inspired photo, complete with venetian blind shadows, gray suit jackets, and 1930s feathery curled hair.

If, I, were, a model….

I would be the Bruna Tenorio of the fashion world! lythe and nymph like! Earthy yet Ethereal with a cultural blending of features. dark and sleek, slips through your fingers. The tiniest face on the leanest of bones, a dark and white contrast, artistic half wholes.  I mean! look at these girls, they have it all, they look good in all types of clothes that just drape ever so gracefully over their lean long bonest. statuesque, they’re in life what they greeks carved out of marble. that ideal, they live it . The lucky ones, and they know it, because what they have is so prized. like maybe some of the gilrs, coming from cultures that frown upon thinness now have so much fame and attention because they fit this western culture paridigm where tall and thin is considered the ideal of beauty. when biologically, it doesn’t make sense because the tall and thin of models only appeals to a small fraction of men, and others are like, ew no, so… prepubescent? like the models of the 80s were so much more natural body type, like sexy curvy. Today’s model is emaciated pre teen, pretty androgynous, actually very, since i mean the top girls’now have lges like cigarette pants, like, chicken legs. and because of that i think chicken lges or super skinny legs are beautiful rather than perhaps the in reality more beautiful toned muscles of the leg of an athlete? idk how i got these chic pitch black sunglasses stuck over my eyes and unfortunately im helpfless, cant get them off because, alas, I have no hands.  I was born instead with 4 arms.  So I am graceful in that manner. Perhaps I can hack off the extra arms and append them to my legs? Ligation to make them longer! and I’m not vapid at allllll, I’m smart, so I could be “The Girl who’s STATUESQUE, BEAUTIFUL (new standard*) as well as SMART….She’s the BRAINY GIRL” I mean, I highly dought that niche has been occupied yet in the modeling world of today.   ohhhh and I could cut off my type 3 jaw chin and plastic surgically mold it into a nice chin and use the remaining skin and bone to make my cheekbones more distinct, for a feminine sort of chiseled cheek look ubiquitous among the model species… you know the one.

But yeah, I leave you with this. I want to be this, and do you know so many other girls want that too? So many.

Is that why those of us so into fashion have favorite models? are they they type of girl we may secretly , or not secretely desire to be? or is it, could it justbe that we’re totally fine with how we are though diff from this western ideal, and we’re just admiring them perfection in fitting n with thhis paradigm without any envy or jealous at all, and the next best thing is to live vicariously by dressing as nicely as the clothes they model and though we may not have that satuesque grace, we may just have a better personality, or some peopl think models faces are too androgynous (this would be haute couture, high end fashion modelling im discussing. the model and fashion targeted tot he white audience features lots of emaciated androgynous girls. But fashion tagreted specifically to ethnic groups such as the black audience have girls that are beautiful in a way that is just natural, like you cna say straight up dman, that girl is  beautiful. But for white models, or high end fashin models, like Chanel, Dolce, etc, the models, its very few you say wow, that girl is beautiful, more often its hmmm wow there is something unqie about her that makes her really stand out.  But every so often tehy’ll be a new fashiion darling and you’ll be like really high fashion house owners, is this person really the greatets most beautiful person to you? Like Karlie Kloss, I really dont think she’s that amazing but everyone is so mad about hert this moment, about she’s liek model of the year and, only 17! (So secretly jealous haha ) but yeah check out this link:

Hoenstly, I don’t get the whole big deal about Karlie Kloss. I dont see why she’s so amazing, like I think Bruna Tenorio is so beautiful! just so beautiful! like she stepped out of a fairy tale! So graceful and elegant looking

But yeah, total girl crush. But it is late and my eyelids are so heavy argh, so sleepy

I think hairbows are my signature accessory, or at least I try to make them be.  I hope to get to the point where if someone else wears a huge side hairbow they’ll either be like, oh very Lady Gaga, or maybe, oh very Nita.
God, I love hairbows.
