Jessica Stam’s style in these photos is 1950s retro cute, kind of in contrast with the backdrop of Morocco. But somehow it works. The headwrap tied into her hair, seems like a twist on the traditional hijab or other type of reverential head covering. The mix of prints and patterns in each outfit fits the setting of Morocco, whose history and culture have been influenced by the Arabs, French, Spaniards, and English. These photos are warm with a tinge of the mysterious, like a hidden courtyard or haveli.
